Sex during Early Pregnancy

Sex during early pregnancy is a wonderful experience for most couples. The reality of being pregnant has not really set in yet so there is very little stress. You get all of the extra hormones and sensitivity in certain areas, but none of the extra belly to deal with; the best of both worlds. It seems that the two of you are so glad to have created life that you want to celebrate by creating more life! I know my husband and I did. We couldn't keep our hands off each other! Even the morning sickness couldn't quench our thirst for one another. The sex during early pregnancy did make things a little bit harder but we adjusted and tried to change our "peak sex schedule" from early morning to late at night or whenever there was no one else home, which was awesome. I tended to want afternoon quickies and he had to keep reminding me that there were other people in the house (we had just moved from out of state and were living with my mother), but he LOVED that I was the aggressor. It made him feel so very manly and charged up.

Aside from the timing and me being so much more passionate, there was really nothing that changed about our sex life during those first three months of pregnancy. Actually, now that I think about it, his ego was larger than normal because he'd impregnated a cute female and could now brag about it. It also could have been fueled by his best buddies comment of "Nice shot Dude!" when he was informed that I was with child. Here is one of the differences between Women and Men. But you see, I think we are the exception and not the rule. We've always been healthy, sexually. There are quite a few couples who see their entire sex lives changed due to pregnancy and most of it affects them right from the beginning. Sex during early pregnancy, or middle or late pregnancy for that matter, changes the way both partners think, feel or act or a combination of the three. I was certainly more willing than I was before I was pregnant. He was also so willing, but the timing for him had to be changed because of my morning sickness. But let's say you didn't have sex much before and now you do. That would be something your partner would likely be into and they would appreciate the pregnancy that much more. Or you had sex a lot and now you don't; this could put a clinch in the relationship but make you change things about your relationship you didn't before; like maybe now, you read to each other from the pregnancy books instead of sex because that's what feeds her soul.

Either way, things are going to change so you're just going to have to roll with it. You can spice it up, flip it around, change the room, or voice your claim that you need more romance and he needs to provide it. He will also have claims of his own so be receiving of those feelings and appreciate that he trusts you enough to share them with you. A lot of men, who don't share their feelings, don't share for a reason and that reason is most likely the way you react. Sex during early pregnancy can change a lot.
